Virginia Kane is a writer from Alexandria, Virginia.

Her work has appeared in The Adroit Journal, Muzzle Magazine, Prairie Schooner, The Florida Review, Them., Poet Lore, and swamp pink and has received recognition and support from Button Poetry and Sundress Academy for the Arts.

A bookseller by day, Virginia has previously worked as Editor-in-Chief of Sunset Press, and interned with The Kenyon Review, Copper Canyon Press, Poets House, and Split This Rock. 

She lives in Asheville, North Carolina where she volunteers with the prison books movement, teaches poetry to middle schoolers, and never shuts up about her flip phone.
